Meet Vera Yevteyev, AE3’s newest Job Captain!

Vera graduated in 2018 from California Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor of Architecture. With extensive experience in commercial interiors, high-tech corporate offices, urban housing and infill projects, her background shows her passion for architecture that provides creative solutions for the community in a future that is everchanging.

One of the things that encouraged her to work in these sectors was her experience at California Polytechnic State University. Her senior thesis was an affordable housing project that re-investigated the typologies and purpose of egress stair environments, by re-designing them to be hospitable and multi-functional in order to serve the people in dense environments while still maintaining a path of travel through the building. Her favorite type of work became investigating urban housing solutions in specific, dense environments, especially in an era where urban real-estate is becoming tighter and more expensive.

As a San Diego local, some of her favorite hobbies include boogie boarding and snorkeling along the lobsters and sea lions in La Jolla Cove. Vera also enjoys hiking and exploring all of the beautiful natural parks and redwoods around the Bay Area. One of her favorite ways to travel is taking road trips with her mom, logging over 100,000 miles in the past 4-5 years along the Pacific Coastal Highway. Vera shares, “any new scenic road is an exciting adventure to me!”  In addition to enjoying California’s natural beauty, she enjoys kickboxing. Vera currently resides in San Diego but is excited to move to the Bay Area by the end of 2021.
