AE3 provided construction management and traffic engineering services as part of the McCarthy Construction design/build team for the Kaiser Oakland Replacement project. This new, 346-bed, hospital was part of a three-step plan that included reconfiguring the current hospital into outpatient and office space, tearing down an existing medical office building, and building a replacement 150,000 SF medical office building. 

 

We initially contributed a full-time senior construction manager to assist with schedule and subcontractor coordination on the initial phase of the project. When this position termed out, we then supplied a full-time, on-site Quality Control Manager for all electrical and low-voltage systems, as well as related Quality Review and Quality Assurance. In addition, we provided site traffic management/control plan services to facilitate the construction project while minimizing disruption to the surrounding community.
